The TA ran and drove earlier... Now it won't even idle. Nothing in the engine was changed. This makes no sense.

More ground issues? Failing coil? Tighten all electrical connections again while hot?

Take a break and don't overthink things.

Suck, Squeeze, Bang, Blow.

You're losing ignition or fuel somewhere.

It sucks but you need to take it slow.

Are you running an HEI for spark?

It runs and then peters out after a few seconds. The tuning is just messing with me it seems.

Had a problem with ethanol gas causing the seals to get sticky in a Honda Spree carb, the flow control valve would stick closed, would run fine for a couple minutes then the float bowl would run dry, it'd sit for a few minutes, some evaporation would occur, the seals would dry, bowl would refil, would start and run again for a couple minutes, lather, rinse, repeat. Drove me insane. Tried ignition shit, replaced the auto choke, yadda, yadda, etc etc... Replaced a single rubber O-ring with silicone, all problems solved. Just sayin ...

Go the van route, if you have the space and time.

1. Buy old work van for cheap

2. salvage LS motor

3. Part out van for $$$$ over what you paid

4. PROFIT!!!!

I really want to make a 'British car life' one that's just a gif of someone tinkering under an E-Type/Spitfire/MGB bonnet.

I love that it looks like it's going on ad-infinitum with the car never moving under its own steam

Man, I feel for you. coaxing an aging warrior back into fighting shape can be a long, tedious process... if it's any consolation, these cars weren't exactly jewels of precision brand new.
